Well-Child Visits
The first 24 months of your child’s life are often considered the most important when it comes to getting their health off to a good start. That’s why there are so many doctor visits within the first 2 years of their lives. Your pediatrician should provide open communication when it comes to concerns with your child’s health – including answering questions about and administering all-important immunizations. It’s a time marked by rapid growth and development, so it’s important to have a pediatrician who pays close attention. Once your child turns 3, pediatric visits then become annual until age 21.
For your well-child visit at Twenty First Century Pediatrics in Willowbrook and Lisle, Illinois, Dr. Susan Sankari will assess the physical, mental, behavioral, social, and emotional growth and development of your child at each visit, as well as check vision and hearing. She will also be on the lookout for developmental delays or disabilities, as early diagnosis is crucial to finding the most effective treatment. Dr. Sankari will take the time to answer your questions and provide counseling on topics such as safety and injury prevention, discipline, nutrition and exercise, learning and education, and much more.
